Water levels at all four reservoirs in the Larnaca and Famagusta districts are higher than they were at the same time last year, the Water Development Department said on Friday.

Kalavasos reservoir, with a capacity of 17.1 million cubic metres, was 21.8 per cent full, compared to 12.9 per cent last year.

Stored water stood at 3.734 million cubic metres.

Lefkara reservoir was 17.3 per cent full, compared to 14.8 per cent last year, with 2.402 million cubic metres stored.

Dipotamos reservoir was a 25.9 per cent full, up from 22.9 per cent last year, with 4.017 million cubic metres stored.

Achna reservoir remained the least full, at 5.6 per cent, compared to 2.3 per cent last year, holding 0.380 million cubic metres.
