In 24 hours from Thursday until Friday morning police checked 13,601 individuals for violations of coronavirus protocols and booked 187 of them, including seven business owners.

According to the police press office, 3,579 checks were carried out in Nicosia, 4,009 in Limassol, 1,607 in Paphos, 1,392 in Larnaca, 1,222 in Famagusta and 923 in the Morphou district.

As a result, 64 persons were fined in Nicosia, 58 in Limassol, 24 in Larnaca, 23 in Paphos and 16 in Famagusta.

Traffic police conducted 676 checks and booked one individual.

No illegalities were reported by the rapid response unit and marine police.
