The Turkish Cypriot community in the north received 75,000 rapid tests on Friday, technical committee on health Greek Cypriot chairman Leonidas Phylactou said.

These are the first rapid antigen tests the Turkish Cypriot community receives, he said, explaining they come from a batch sent from the EU the previous day.

The delivery was preceded by a virtual Q&A session where experts answered questions on the use of the tests, he added.

Finally, Phylactou said that up until now, only PCR tests were being performed in the north.
