Police booked five business owners and 151 other individuals for breaches of coronavirus measures on Tuesday.
In Nicosia, two owners of establishments were fined because they served customers in a closed space. They were ordered to pay €500 and €700 respectively.
In Limassol, one was fined €500 for not having marked the premises.
Two were fined €1,000 each in Larnaca, one for working without a rapid test result and the other one for serving customers without wearing a mask.
11,803 checks were carried out in 24 hours from Tuesday until Wednesday morning, 2,129 in Nicosia, 3,242 in Limassol, 1,372 in Larnaca, 1,079 in Paphos, 1,893 in Famagusta and 858 in the Morphou district.
40 persons were booked in Nicosia, 61 in Limassol, 15 in Larnaca, 17 in Paphos and another 17 in Famagusta.
