When Joseph Albo set a goal to ride a solo century in four hours or fewer, he knew it was going to be a challenge for a number of reasons.

For one thing, there was his job to consider – Albo drives trains for the Long Island Railroad, a demanding job with irregular hours, sometimes getting home at 2.30am. For another, he knew training on his own would be sure to end in failure – it would take someone’s skilled supervision to direct his mission.

So, Albo called David Lipscomb, the head coach and co-founder of CIS Cycling, who created a training plan to help him get there. The rest of their journey together is chronicled in this video.
