Three people were arrested as a police operation until midnight on Sunday continued ongoing checks of the Chlorakas community.
The latest coordinated police operation, which included airport security forces, took place from Sunday afternoon until midnight.
A Paphos police spokesman said during the operation an apartment complex in Chlorakas was searched for illegal asylum seekers while traffic checks were also carried out.
A total of 70 vehicles were stopped, and 26 people were checked, with 16 complaints found.
Police arrested three people found to be in violation of the interior ministry’s decree forbidding international asylum seekers from taking up residence in the community. They were charged and released to be summoned at a later date.
