Four establishments and 17 people were fined in the last 24 hours during checks for violation of coronavirus decrees.

A total of 2,039 checks were carried out island wide. In Nicosia, following 631 checks, six individuals and one manager of an establishment who was found to be working without a SafePass, were fined.

In Larnaca, 387 inspections were carried out with eight individuals and one establishment fined, for staff working without masks.

In Paphos, following 122 checks, two establishments were fined also for non-use of masks by staff.

In Famagusta, 425 inspections were carried out and three individuals were fined, while no fines were reported in Limassol and Morphou following 155 and 159 inspections respectively.

The traffic police carried out 151 checks and the port police nine without issuing any fines.
