Police arrested a 45-year-old man on Monday night, for assault leading to real bodily harm and causing damage at a sports venue.

According to the police statement, the 45-year-old was identified through CCTV as being involved in incidents that took place in March, before the start of a football match between Akritas Chlorakas and Omonia 29M, at Stelios Kyriakides Stadium in Paphos.

The 45-year-old allegedly attacked and injured a 33-year-old supervisor, who suffered bruising on his face as a result.

The 45-year-old was arrested on a warrant and taken into custody to facilitate the ongoing investigations.
