Cyprus has enough grain for at least three months, said Agriculture Minister Costas Kadis on Wednesday.
“We can feel safe but still monitor the situation”, the minister assured.
Kadis met with flour producers and grain importers on Wednesday in his ministry’s effort to address the ways of tackling the supply chain and distribution issues that emerged because of the war in Ukraine and sanctions against Moscow.
Combined, Russia and Ukraine account for approximately 30 per cent of global exports of barley and durum wheat, and 20 per cent of corn.
