A fire off Tseri Avenue in Strovolos, Nicosia is under control, fire services spokesman Andreas Kettis said on Twitter on Wednesday.

He said the fire had burned dry grass and wild vegetation, as well as abandoned livestock sheds and an open-air warehouse in a fenced-in area.

Earlier, Kettis had said that three fire engines had responded to the fire.
