In his address, Rector Panayiotou stated that “the establishment of the University of Limassol marks the beginning of a bright future in higher education, research and innovation”.

He also stressed that “for an institution with a flag of excellence and international distinctions, the bar has been set very high: evolving into a University that makes a difference”.

“The University of Limassol is not an ordinary university, neither in its philosophy, nor its goals, nor in the perspective it creates for its students,” continued Panayiotou. “We see things through a different lens. We believe we can change the world for the better … we believe we can make a difference – as long as we keep evolving. That’s why our motto is ‘ever-evolving’.”
