Authorities on Friday are still investigating the origins of a fire which broke out in a Paphos desalination plant a week ago, completely destroying the facility.
Removal of objects from the burned down plant building located between Kouklia and Mandria began on Thursday and will continue on Friday, Paphos assistant police chief Michalis Nikolaou told the Cyprus News Agency.
A team of officials from the fire and electromechanical service, the labour inspection office, and the environment department are conducting the work.
Once the removal of the objects is completed, experts will be able to enter the premises and determine the causes of the fire, Nikoloaou said.
