The Olympic-size swimming pool in Yeroskipou will be restored, at a cost of €360,000, the Ierokipias municipality said on Friday.

“The restoration includes the demolition and removal of all the metal walls, the construction of new concrete walls and of the perimeter of the pool, as well as the floor around which there is stagnant water,” it said.

The project will also include installation of new liners in addition to various electromechanical constructions to restore and/or improve its operation.

A large amount of the money will be funded by a grant from the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA),” the municipality said.
