A 75-year-old man died on Tuesday morning after being involved in a traffic accident in Larnaca.
Larnaca police spokesman Christodoulos Konsolos said the man, named as Rodotheos Skordis, was driving down a residential street at around 7.25am when he lost control of his vehicle, collided with a parked car, and then flipped onto its roof.
He added that Skordis was pulled from his car by the fire brigade and taken by ambulance to the Larnaca general hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, as well as the possibility that the accident itself was not the cause of Skordis’ death.
This, Konsolos said, will be determined by an autopsy which will be carried out at a “later stage”.
