Entrepreneurs from both sides of Cyprus have been given more time to apply for the Stelios Bicommunal Business Cooperation Awards 2025, as the deadline has been extended to March 11.

The awards, now in their 15th year, continue to support collaboration between Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot business owners.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder of the easy brand empire and the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, has also increased this year’s prize fund to €410,000. The awards will recognise 20 entrepreneurs, with the top team receiving €100,000, two teams sharing €50,000 each, and seven more teams winning €30,000 each.

Since the initiative began in 2009, a total of €4.8 million has been awarded to businesses that promote peaceful cooperation on the island.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on April 11 at the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation Headquarters in Nicosia.

The event will be attended by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and President Nikos Christodoulides, underlining the awards’ significance in fostering bicommunal business relations.

Applications must be submitted via email to [email protected]. Eligible businesses must have an annual turnover of at least €10,000, employ at least one staff member, and provide proof of joint business operations in both communities.

Previous applicants and winners may reapply if they meet the criteria. More details and the application form can be found at www.steliosfoundation.com.cy.

The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation continues to promote economic cooperation and social support in Cyprus. Its work includes the Youth Entrepreneurship Awards and the Food from the Heart initiative, which helps those in need.

Through these efforts, the foundation remains committed to fostering unity and economic growth across the island.
