The cold air mass Coral will continue to affect Cyprus until Thursday, when the temperature is expected to return to average climatic values of 15 to 17 degrees Celsius, an official of the Meteorology Department told CNA.

According to the official, a low temperature warning may also be issued on Monday for Monday night until Tuesday morning, with the most likely scenario that this warning will be downgraded to yellow.

As for the extreme low temperature warnings, he noted that an orange warning was already issued for Sunday night through Monday morning as the minimum temperature in the higher mountain ranges is expected to drop to -10 degrees Celsius. He added that it is likely to be issued for Monday night into Tuesday as well, which, however, may be yellow. He added that there may be no warning on Tuesday night.
