It has been an exciting few years for the local comedy scene, not just because Cypriot comedians and comedy festivals are on the rise, but also because some of the most renowned stars from the international comedy scene hold shows in Cyprus. And, 2025 will be no different as more comics from abroad make a Cyprus stop on their tour. This means only one thing – more comedy nights in English are on the horizon!

There will be shows to indulge in every season this year as Russell Peters performs live in spring, Jeff Arcuri hosts a show in the summer and Gus Constantellis presents a stand-up in the autumn. First up is Petters, a comedy star who is celebrated for his sharp wit, cultural observations and diverse comedic style. Fans will be able to catch him in Nicosia on May 29 as part of his Relax World Tour, performing live at the Eleftheria Sports Arena.

In the summer, comedian Jeff Arcuri, known for his quick jokes and audience interaction, will perform at Nicosia Municipal Theatre on June 24. He has appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, Laughs! on Fox and other gigs at comedy festivals. Now, as he embarks on his Whole Wide World Tour, he will meet with Cyprus comedy lovers for the first time this June.

Later in the year, Greek-American stand-up comedian Gus Constantellis will perform at Pantheon Theatre in Nicosia. His material heavily touches on his large immigrant family, his Greek heritage, raunchy yet relatable dating stories and growing up in Brooklyn. He has performed at clubs all around New York, launched a successful podcast and has written for children’s shows on Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Netflix. Tickets for his show on October 19 are already on sale.
