A 23-year-old delivery driver reported to have been attacked at around 11.45pm on Wednesday in Limassol by a gang of about 20 people on motorcycles, who he said were wearing hoods and appeared to be holding knives and bats.

The police said on Thursday that, according to the complaint, one of the motorcyclists hit the victim, pushed him over and stole a small bag with money before fleeing the scene.

The 23-year-old was not injured and did not wish to go to hospital, the police said.

Investigations are ongoing.
