Two suspects were placed in custody on Friday after appearing before the Limassol court in connection with the theft of a pickup truck. The case involves a 25-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, who were arrested on Thursday after police spotted the stolen vehicle and found them inside. According to Limassol CID, the vehicle, worth €2,500, was reported stolen on April 25 by its 53-year-old owner.

The truck was located yesterday by members of the Limassol crime prevention unit. Officers say the 25-year-old was found attempting to repair the vehicle, while the 35-year-old was in the passenger seat.

Both were arrested on the spot for an offence committed in flagrante delicto.

They were brought before Limassol court on Friday, which ordered their detention for four days as investigations continue. Police are expected to carry out further examinations to determine the circumstances surrounding the theft.
