Turkey has donated a digger and a machinery transport vehicle worth €126,500 to the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus, it was announced on Tuesday.
The equipment was delivered through the Turkish Cypriot member of the CMP.
According to a press release issued by the Turkish Cypriot member’s office and reproduced by Turkish Cypriot media, since 2006 Turkey has given aid worth €1,454,225 to the CMP.
Such donations, the office said, aim at strengthening CMP efforts to determine where the remains of missing persons are located and return them to their families.
