The victim has been named as Petros Petrou Papasavva, originally from Praitori and a resident of Limassol.
According to Paphos police operations chief Michalis Nikolaou, Papasavva was driving a car when, under circumstances still being investigated, it slammed into the back of a road roller.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
The scene of the accident was sealed off for examination by the Paphos traffic police. The 36-year-old driver of the road roller involved in the fatal traffic accident was arrested, according to Paphos assistant police director of operations, Michalis Nikolaou.
