Monday will be mainly clear with increased clouds at times bringing a chance of isolated light rain. Temperatures will rise to 39C inland, 32C on the north, southeast and east coasts, 30C on the remaining coasts and 28C in the higher mountains. Winds will initially be mainly south-easterly to southerly, weak, up to 3 Beaufort and on the west coast up to strong, 5 Beaufort, later turning south-to north-westerly, weak to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort, and locally strong, up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.
Overnight will be mainly clear with increased low clouds in the west. Temperatures will drop to 18C inland, 20C on the west and north coasts, 19C on the south and east coasts, and 15C in the higher mountains. Winds will be mainly south-to north-westerly, weak to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort, and later on the southwest and the west coasts temporarily up to strong, 5 Beaufort. The sea will remain calm to slightly rough.
Tuesday will continue mostly clear with afternoon clouds bringing isolated light rain in the mountains. Strong winds will prevail particularly in coastal areas.
Wednesday will see temporarily increased clouds and similar conditions with showers and strong winds expected, and on Thursday rains and possible isolated storms are forecast, mainly in the east and inland.
The brief hot spell will dissipate significantly on Tuesday with a drop in temperatures, which will reach close to the seasonal norm through Thursday.
