The need for “immediate humanitarian assistance to the civilian population in Gaza” was discussed on Sunday between Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi.
In a post on X, the foreign ministry said two ministers held a telephone conversation, during which “Kombos offered Cyprus’ heartfelt congratulations to Jordan for its Independence Day”.
“The discussion also focused on Cyprus-Jordan bilateral relations, as well as current developments in the region, focusing on the need for immediate humanitarian assistance to the civilian population in Gaza,” it added.
