The owners of the three dogs that bit a 25-year-old woman and two children aged six and three in the Moni industrial area on Sunday were remanded on Monday for two days to facilitate investigations.
The couple, aged 43 and 36, were arrested on Sunday, while the dogs were caught and taken to a vet.
Police were notified at 9.45am on Sunday of the incident.
The woman and the three-year-old child bore injuries to various parts of their bodies and were taken to Limassol general hospital by ambulance. The older child was not taken to hospital because the injuries were not so bad.
The three-year-old was discharged, while the mauled woman underwent surgery to stitch her wounds. She is out of danger, doctors said.
Police investigations determined that the dogs had escaped a fenced area at their home about 600 metres from the scene.
The dogs, which were not microchipped and did not have the necessary possession paperwork, were handed over to a vet.
Police investigations are ongoing, in cooperation with the Veterinary Services and the local authorities.
