New fake news scam poses as Cyprus Mail journalist

A fake news scam which has circulated on social media in recent days has posed as the Cyprus Mail’s business reporter Souzana Psara.

The website purports to be an investment platform by the name of “TraderAI” and invites users to input their contact details on the promise that they will receive a phone call.

During that phone call, the website says, “we’ll show you for free with no obligation”.

The website claims to be endorsed by Psara, and quotes her as saying, “never has it been so easy to grow your money as with TraderAI”.

Psara has never endorsed such a scheme.
