An 18-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured after losing control of his motorcycle and having it overturn on Saturday night, the police said on Sunday.

The teen was, according to the police, riding his motorcycle in the Ayios Sylas industrial area in the Limassol suburb of Ypsonas when he lost control of it.

The motorcycle then overturned on the road.

After the incident, the teen was taken to a private hospital, where it was found that he had suffered multiple fractures to his skull and that had had multiple bleeds on his brain.

Doctors described his condition as “critical”.

The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
