A total of 58 public summer schools will be operating from June 23 till July 25 across Cyprus, with this year seeing the inclusion of special schools till August 1, the education ministry announced on Wednesday.
The ministry said 37 primary and 21 nursery schools would be offering a series of creative activities, such as visual expression, music, theatre and physical education, inter alia, along with summer-themed indoor and outdoor games, puppet theatre and reading.
Greek language lessons will also be available for children with an immigrant background.
Public summer schools are free of charge, with a financial contribution required for children staying for lunch.
Parents and guardians interested in the summer schools can request further information from their child’s school.
