A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday night in connection with the robbery of a bakery, the police said on Thursday.
The police said the boy was questioned in the presence of a lawyer and his mother, and that he is “implicating himself in the case”.
The robbery had taken place in the early hours of Sunday morning, with two men having entered the bakery, which is located in Limassol’s Havouza neighbourhood, at around 2am.
One of the pair was holding a knife, and, according to a bakery employee and a member of the public who witnessed the incident, was speaking in the Cypriot Greek dialect.
The pair grabbed the bakery’s till, which contained around €500 in cash at the time, and fled the scene.
The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
