Four people were reportedly taken to hospital on Monday night in Paphos after a brawl erupted between two groups of Syrians.

According to reports, police were alerted around 8pm about a fight between two groups of people in the town’s Dasoudi park.

Initial information from the force said the individuals involved appeared to have been fighting among themselves with knives and crowbars and even a sledgehammer.

Four people were taken to Paphos general hospital after officers broke up the fight and began to take statements from those present and from eyewitnesses.

The condition of the injured parties is so far unknown.
