PwC Cyprus on Monday announced that it recently hosted two high-impact leadership events aimed at empowering family-owned and small businesses with the strategies, tools, and insights needed to grow and adapt in a shifting economic landscape.

Held on June 12-13 at the firm’s Experience Centre in Nicosia, the events were organised under the auspices of the Cyprus-UK Business Association and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), with support from the British High Commission.

According to the announcement, the sessions attracted a diverse audience of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry professionals who gathered to explore current leadership challenges and the opportunities they present.

Both events were anchored by keynote speaker Michelle Lestas, a renowned business turnaround specialist and award-winning author.

“Through a dynamic and deeply practical keynote format, she tackled the evolving needs of business leadership, offering real-world strategies to drive performance, productivity, and long-term business value,” the company stated.

The first event, held on Thursday, June 12, explored the theme of “Family Business: Survival, Succession & Strategy.”

Participants examined how family enterprises can build resilience, manage intergenerational succession, and discover fresh avenues for growth.

Furthermore, a panel of industry experts joined the discussion, sharing their views on corporate governance, business transformation, and the need to adapt traditional family business models to modern challenges.

On Friday, June 13, the spotlight turned to small and medium-sized enterprises with the theme “Know Your Leadership for Small Business Growth.”

This session, the company mentioned, offered broader insight into how smaller firms can strengthen their leadership capabilities, manage uncertainty, and scale their impact.

“The accompanying panel discussion delved into the evolving expectations of today’s business environment and how advisors can better support entrepreneurs through periods of change,” the announcement explained.

Each event concluded with an open questions and answer session and a networking breakfast, something which the company helped to “foster meaningful dialogue among participants and creating space for future collaboration”.

“We believe leadership is not static—it evolves alongside the ever-changing business landscape” said Vassilios Vrachimis, Partner and Head of Consulting at PwC Cyprus.

“Through these events, we brought together diverse voices to empower business leaders with the clarity, confidence and tools to lead forward—so they can sustain momentum and thrive across generations” he added.

PwC Cyprus concluded by saying that it “remains committed to creating platforms where bold conversations and practical insight come together—supporting businesses in Cyprus to move with speed, direction and purpose”.
