Alpha Bank Cyprus is once again implementing the successful “Parents and Children Together at Work” programme, an initiative that strengthens the link between family and the workplace, by offering teenagers the opportunity to explore the professional world via the daily working environment of their parents.
Over July 7-August 29, 2025, employee parents of the Bank will have the chance to host their 15- to 18-year-olds, at their workplace, either at Branches or other departments of Alpha Bank Cyprus. Through their participation, the teens will become familiar with the core operations of a modern organisation, observe their parents’ daily professional activity, interact with colleagues and contribute to simple yet meaningful tasks, gaining valuable knowledge and experience.
This exposure enhances the understanding of the parental role, fosters a sense of responsibility and self-esteem in young people, develops skills such as teamwork and professional conduct, and serves as an important stimulus for their future career orientation. At the same time, it offers parents the chance to connect with their kids in a different setting, creating bridges of meaningful communication through shared experience.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, the Programme has been warmly embraced by families of the Bank’s staff. Since its launch in 2022, it’s become established as a distinct practice for the inclusion and active participation of families within the organisation. To date, dozens of young people have taken part, gaining insights, experiences and inspiration that will accompany them in their future development, affirming Alpha Bank Cyprus’ long-standing people-centred approach, consistency and vision.
The initiative falls under the wider “Education” pillar of Alpha Bank Cyprus, which aims to empower employees and their families via high value-added initiatives. It also forms part of a holistic approach that promotes work–life balance, strengthens empathy and reinforces the organisation’s role as a responsible employer.
