As the summer sun dips over Larnaca Bay this September, an annual gathering of book lovers returns to pair reading with a good cause. The Cy Bookworms Club is back with its charity event Book Me on a Sunset Vol.3, set to take place on September 19 at the beachfront of the Lebay Beach Hotel.
More than just an evening of pages and stories, this year’s event supports the Nicholas Zoe Foundation, with every donation helping children with cancer through breakthrough research.
The much-loved Traveling Charity Book Shop will roll up once again in Celeste, the blue campervan operated by @vintageridecyprus, inviting guests to browse, donate and discover new reads. Alongside the books, the Lebay Beach Hotel will be serving summer cocktails and bites, while the evening will also host a special sunset Pilates by the sea session with Pantelina from Physio N Fitness.
Families and pets are welcome too. A dedicated Kids’ Corner will keep little ones entertained with children’s books, drawing and board games, while the event’s pet-friendly spirit means four-legged friends do not have to stay home and can also enjoy an evening by the sea
And for those who truly can’t resist a book chat, the evening invites participants to bring their own novel and exchange conversations on beloved characters, surprising plot twists and stories that have moved them.
Running from 6pm to 10pm, Book Me on a Sunset promises a feel-good evening of community, reading and giving back – all beneath the glow of a Cypriot sunset.
