A fire broke out in a car which had been parked at a petrol station in Nicosia in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The police said they were informed of the fire at around 2.15am, and that firefighters arrived on the scene shortly afterwards to put the fire out.

Further investigations are expected to be carried out later on Wednesday.
