The organisation Visit Nicosia announced on Wednesday free guided walking tours, which will take place through September to December.
The programme has attracted thousands of participants in the past and offers both locals and tourists the chance to explore the capital’s history, culture and daily life.
The tour will be led by expert guides in English with an option for Greek interpretation, and participants can choose between five thematic routes.
The routes include the Nicosia walled city tours around monuments, traditional neighbuorhoods and the Venetian walls, while the archaeological tour includes the Ledra museum and Cyprus museum.
Alternative routes are the city museum tour to the Leventis museum and the Museum of Cypriot heritage, while the religion tour explores Orthodox and Catholic churches as well as mosques.
Lastly, the architecture tour shows modern and traditional buildings in central neighbourhoods.
Visit Nicosia asks those interested to book their place in advance through the website.
