Two men were arrested in Larnaca on Friday after police said they discovered tools which could be used to facilitate a break-in and other valuables in their car.

The suspects, aged 27 and 33 years old, were stopped during a patrol at dawn on Friday, with both men being arrested after a search of the vehicle.

They are expected to appear before the Larnaca district court on Friday for a remand order.

Officers are examining both the tools and valuables to establish whether they may be linked to recent burglaries in the area.
