A 35-year-old woman suspected of extorting nearly €112,000 from her employer was remanded for eight days on Tuesday by Limassol district court.

Limassol CID said the case is linked to an ongoing investigation into theft by an employee.

The alleged monies were reportedly taken between July and August this year.

The woman, who worked as a collections manager, has been questioned as part of the investigation.
