Concerts by Greek stars, an ice cream festival, LGBT filmmakers on the big screen, street parties, village festivals and events in the city are taking place this weekend. Here’s what’s on all around Cyprus.
The weekend agenda kicks off with a concert by Greek musician Miltos Paschalides in Larnaca. Celebrating 30 years in the music industry, the singer travels to Pattihio Amphitheatre to meet Cyprus fans this Friday night. From 9pm onwards, Paschalides will serenade audiences with music from his lengthy career, share unknown stories from his time in music-making and perform beloved Greek songs. A few tickets remain for tomorrow’s concert on the SoldOut website.
In Nicosia, Cyprus’ now-annual Cyprus LGBTQIA+ film festival, Queer Wave, returns for its sixth edition. The festival kicks off on Friday with events at NiMAC in downtown Nicosia. In the ten days to follow, Queer Wave will present over 20 screenings, discussion panels and parallel events featuring both local and international works from current and past pieces of queer cinema.
The opening ceremony will include a performance by x.ypno alongside animation by Giorgos Tsangaris and a screening of the film Little Trouble Girls. On Saturday, the workshop Thinking in Action will open the day’s events at 3pm, followed by screenings, Q&As and discussions with this year’s participating filmmakers.
Also happening in downtown Nicosia is the musical performance Pissourin at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation. As the Faneromeni25 Art Festival wraps up its 2025 agenda, it hosts Monsieur Doumani as the band presents their album Pissourin. The concert is free to attend and kicks off at 8.30pm.
Offering a sweet taste of summer is the Ice Cream Festival this Saturday and Sunday at River Park Venue in Lakatamia. Welcoming families and all sorts of visitors, the festival will have ice cream in all flavours, climbing walls for children, bouncy castles, magic shows, mascots, face painting and unlimited entertainment across the two days.

Another two-day festival has been added to this weekend’s agenda, and this one promotes diversity, social equality, and inclusion. The Access For All Festival 2025 will fill Limassol’s Old Port with 3×3 basketball games, Paralympic sports, theatrical performances, arts and creativity workshops, Human Library activities, educational booths, musical and artistic events, and many more activities, fully accessible and free of charge for everyone.
The 7th Orange Festival in Miliou village, Paphos offers plenty of traditional activities and flavours. Saturday’s programme includes traditional dances, live music by Giannis Kritikos, halva and orange cream treats by TV chef Chryso Lefou, as well as other delicacies to try, such as traditional wheat stew resi and beer with citrus aromas.
Wrapping up the week is the Opening Party of the Nicosia International Festival that takes place this Sunday in front of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. DJs, visual effects, street food and cocktails will entertain party-goers, marking a new season for the renowned Nicosia festival.
