More than seven grams of cannabis were found in hand-rolled cigarettes during a routine vehicle check at the Deryneia crossing point on Friday.
“Seven handmade cigarettes and four aluminium packages containing cannabis with a total gross weight of 7.2 grams were found,” the customs department said on Saturday.
The drugs were seized, and a 60-year-old suspect was arrested for a flagrant offence.
Investigations into the case are ongoing.
