Primary school teacher union Poed decided on Thursday – as a “gesture of good will” – to postpone its work stoppage scheduled for November 26 to protest the proposed changes to the teacher evaluation system.
As a “gesture of good will”, Poed decided to postpone its strike until the plenum is in session, if the final outcome is not to its liking.
The decision followed Wednesday’s House education committee initiative to hold meetings with the interested parties.
“Poed once again deplores the education ministry’s failure to take an agreed plan to parliament,” the union said.
