A 14-year-old boy was injured on Sunday when the car he was driving on a rural road in Athienou overturned.

The accident happened under circumstances being investigated by the police at about 10.30am.

As a result of the accident the boy was injured.

He was taken to Larnaca general hospital, where doctors described his condition as serious.
