A 31-year-old man was admitted to Larnaca general hospital on Friday evening with injuries believed to have been caused by a knife.

By Friday night, police had identified the man as a Cypriot national who was found outdoors, while the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.

He is currently receiving treatment at the hospital, where he is undergoing surgery.

Police are appealing to potential witnesses or anyone with information to contact the authorities.
