The mind REset educational environmental initiative of Junior Achievement Cyprus, with Lidl Cyprus as its strategic partner, once again held the programme’s Trade Fair, inviting the public to visit Metropolis Mall in Larnaca and witness firsthand the student teams that transformed creativity into solutions with social and environmental impact. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth and under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.

At this year’s Trade Fair, students aged 10–14 presented eco-friendly business ideas focusing on the theme of food waste, a natural continuation of previous cycles that had centred on reducing plastic. More than 60 student teams from 24 primary and secondary schools participated in the exhibition, with over 300 students showcasing their “businesses” and solutions to the public and the judging panel, gaining real experience in interaction and presentation. In addition, at the programme level, a total of 72 schools and 3,684 students across Cyprus participated in 2026.

With the support of Lidl Cyprus, the mind REset programme was held for the fifth consecutive year, having already educated more than 12,500 students across the island over the years. Through its continuous evolution, the programme strengthens young people’s ecological awareness and entrepreneurial thinking, linking the school experience with real sustainability challenges.

Consistently, the educational process of mind REset includes five consecutive lessons that guide students from the theoretical understanding of the problem to the development and substantiated presentation of their own solution-proposal. The programme is designed to cultivate skills in environmental entrepreneurship, creativity, teamwork and responsible consumption, while providing teachers with comprehensive tools, activities and evaluation material.

Lidl Cyprus once again supported the initiative this year, investing in projects that turn knowledge into action and empower the new generation with skills for a more sustainable economy. Via collaboration with institutional stakeholders, mind REset is, by now, well-established as a programme that connects education with green innovation.
