A total of 29 flights departing from or arriving at Larnaca airport were cancelled on Saturday due to the ongoing conflict with Iran affecting the surrounding airspace.
According to flight data, these included 16 flights departing from and 13 flights that were scheduled to land at Larnaca airport.
Among the cancellations were flights from or to London, Malta and several locations in the Middle East including Amman, Beirut, Dubai and Tel Aviv.
Despite the various cancellations, at least one flight departed for Israel on Saturday morning, initially scheduled to leave at 9.45am but leaving at 11.05am, while another two flights departing for Tel Aviv were reported to be boarding as of 11am.
Meanwhile, operations appeared to be running as normal at Paphos Airport, where flights generally operated to and from a slightly smaller number of destinations than at Larnaca, with two flights to Tel Aviv cancelled.
Amid ongoing tensions, Emirates announced it would resume flights to and from Dubai Airport, reversing an earlier decision to suspend all Dubai flights until further notice.
Passengers with travel plans to Cyprus are advised to contact their airline or travel agent before going to the airport.
