A parcel posted to a Cyprus address containing more than 6kg of cannabis was seized by the police’s drug squad YKAN on Saturday.

The drugs were packed in six plastic bags, weighing a total of 6.72kg.

The detection of the drugs was the result of a cooperation with authorities of the country from which the parcel had been sent to the island.

Investigations into the case are ongoing.
