The government continuing flights to repatriate Cypriots and Cyprus residents back to the island with a fourth flight carrying 170 passengers set to arrive at Larnaca airport at 8pm on Saturday evening.

The Cyprus Airways flight, scheduled for departure from Dubai at 3pm, took off following a two hour delay and is currently on its way to the island.

On board are two infants.

As of Saturday, a total of 805 Cypriots had been repatriated, with the majority, 781, returning to the island from the United Arab Emirates.

On Friday, another two flights carrying 293 Cypriots arrived in Larnaca.

The government on Saturday assured that efforts to facilitate the safe return of Cypriots currently stuck in regions in the Middle East will continue until the process is complete.

Cypriots that remain in the Middle East are urged to closely monitor the situation, follow directives by local authorities and register on the Connect2CY online platform.

Additionally, citizens can reach out to Cypriot embassies in the Middle East to ask for further assistance.
