The removal of old and abandoned vehicles and improvements to infrastructure in the industrial area of Paphos were among the issues discussed during a meeting on Tuesday between acting mayor Angelos Onisiforou and members of the committee representing the municipality’s industrial zone.
The meeting addressed daily operational issues, with participants emphasising the need for better working conditions for professionals and craftsmen.
Among the main concerns was the presence of old and abandoned vehicles left in various locations throughout the industrial zone, negatively affecting the appearance of the area.
Tradespeople also raised the need for the creation of additional parking spaces to better serve employees and visitors, as well as improvements to the existing road network.
In particular, they called for the resurfacing of roads to improve road safety and access to local businesses.
They also highlighted the need to improve and expand green areas in the zone, with the aim of upgrading the surrounding environment and creating a more functional and pleasant workspace.
Onisiforou and municipal officials showed a positive attitude and willingness to cooperate in addressing the issues raised, the committee said.
