Saplings donated to Paralimni–Dheryneia municipality by the bicommunal technical committee for cultural heritage, have been planted along a road to enhance the area’s aesthetic appeal, the municipality said on Thursday.

The committee’s head Sotos Ktoris handed the saplings to mayor Giorgos Nikolettos during a meeting attended by committee members Angelos Smagas, Giorgos Kyprianou and Dheryneia deputy mayor Nikos Lillis.

Workers have planted saplings along the road between the Ayios Panteleimonas roundabout and the Profitis Elias area, enhancing the greenery and aesthetic appeal of the location.

The municipality said more saplings were expected to be donated in the future for planting in other central locations.

Nikolettos said the initiative was an important contribution to improving the local environment and expanding urban greenery.
