The countdown has begun for the start of the new racing season in the Nascar Euro Series Championship, where Vladimiros Tziortzis will compete. The Cypriot has entered a new testing phase ahead of the first race, which is scheduled for the third weekend of April in Valencia, Spain.
“We had a break so that all teams could implement the latest changes to every car in the championship, according to the new regulations for 2026, and also due to the bad weather that had been affecting Europe recently,” the Cypriot driver said.
“The first day of testing went very well with sunny weather. I believe I adapted immediately to the new changes in the car setup according to the updated regulations.”
It is noted that for the new season teams have to work on the car setup that has been reduced and is no longer as extensive. This year there are limits on what teams can work on and modify.
“This will result in the driver playing an even bigger role. From this year we will see even closer battles between drivers,” Tziortzis pointed out.
The 29-year-old added: “The rainy weather on Friday morning gave us the opportunity to test Hoosier’s new wet tyres for 2026. These tyres have a different compound compared to those used in 2024 and 2025.”
After the season opener, there will be races at Circuit Paul Ricard in France (May 23–24), Brands Hatch Indy Circuit in Great Britain (June 6–7), and Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic (August 29–30), before the semi-finals at Autodromo di Vallelunga in Italy (September 19–20) and the finals at Circuit Zolder in Belgium (October 17–18).
