Wholesale trade turnover in Cyprus increased significantly in the fourth quarter of 2025, while activity in the motor vehicles sales and repair sector remained stable compared with the same period a year earlier.
According to the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat), the turnover value index of wholesale trade (division 46) recorded an increase of 9.3 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
During the same quarter, the turnover value index of sales and repair of motor vehicles (division 45) showed no change compared with the corresponding quarter of 2024, indicating stable activity in the sector.
Cystat also reported that for the period January to December 2025, the turnover value index of wholesale trade (division 46) is estimated to have increased by 5.9 per cent compared with the same period of the previous year.
For the same twelve-month period, the turnover value index of sales and repair of motor vehicles (division 45) is estimated to have recorded an increase of 3.0 per cent compared with the corresponding period of 2024.
The figures indicate continued growth in wholesale trade activity during 2025, while the motor vehicles trade and repair sector recorded more moderate growth over the full year despite remaining unchanged in the final quarter.
