Azines Library is hosting its annual party and this year, it celebrates DIY culture as a collective practice and political gesture.

“Print can resist, preserve memory, and connect communities across borders. Bring your ideas or just your vibe, everything is welcome,” say the organisers of their upcoming event. The party takes place this Saturday evening, March 21 at 6pm at Prozak Kafeneio in Nicosia.

From 7pm onwards, DJ Annie will take over the decks with some tuneful beats, while Prozak serves up drinks, teas and beverages. Toasties to Love will be preparing ‘triara’ sandwiches, with a part of the profits raised to be donated to Together Cyprus.

The event invites the public to co-create a zine together, unleash their creativity and discover the possibilities of zine-making. There will also be two limited edition collaborations between Azines and Georgia Moditi and Azines and Ermina Emmanouel.

“Join the party, mingle with the community, leave us a page of your creativity, or just a smile,” add the organisers. “A collective zine will be assembled from your creations after the party!”
